Excel Foundry & Machine Inc., Pekin, Ill., will begin a new company, Excel Crusher Technologies.
Excel Foundry A semiconductor manufacturer that makes chips for third parties. It may be a large chip maker that sells its excess manufacturing capacity or one that makes chips exclusively for other companies. & Machine Inc., Pekin Pekin (pē`kĭn), city (1990 pop. 32,254), seat of Tazewell co., central Ill., a port on the Illinois River; inc. 1839. A processing, rail, and shipping point in a grain, livestock, and dairying area, Pekin has a large food industry. , Ill., will begin a new company, Excel Crusher crusher, machine used to reduce materials such as ore, coal, stone, and slag to particle sizes that are convenient for their intended uses. Crushers operate by slowly applying a large force to the material to be reduced. Technologies, also in Pekin, to manufacture crashers for the mining and aggregate industries. The new company will have a 40,000 sq.-ft. facility.
