Excel Switching Corporation (Nasdaq:XLSW XLSW Excel Switching (former stock symbol; now delisted) ), a leading provider of open switching platforms for telecommunications networks worldwide, announced today that it has enhanced its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  relationship with Comverse Network Systems. The company currently uses Excel's ONE Architecture(tm) Expandable Switching System (EXS) as a part of its Access NP enhanced service Enhanced service is service offered over commercial carrier transmission facilities used in interstate communications, that employs computer processing applications that act on the format, content, code, protocol, or similar aspects of the subscriber's transmitted information;  solutions.
