Excalibur launches Aqua-Thane.

Excalibur paint & coatings has launched Aqua-Thane, a patent pending 2K waterborne acrylic polyurethane for the heavy-duty industrial coatings sector. This environmentally friendly, low VOC (less than 50 grams/liter) HAPS-free system achieves film build of four to eight milliliters wet without foaming, gassing or flow problems. Aqua-Thane adheres to a wide variety of surfaces including steel, aluminum, galvanized metals (both electroplated and hot dipped), and various stainless steel, PVC and carbon/fiberglass composites. For ferrous and non-ferrous substrate, abrasive blasting is not required prior to application.
