Evolution.

Should it be taught in school?

NO

What is the status of evolution in the arena of science and education? It reigns supreme, maintaining an absolute control and censorship that determines what goes on in classrooms and what is published.

. Secular science has erected an imposing structure of scientific evidence that is [offered as proof] of evolution. Anybody whose view of the world is not firmly grounded by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ Jesus Christ: see Jesus.

 of Charles Darwin, sometimes unknowingly. Nevertheless, the defenders of Darwin have failed to prove the scientific case for their theory.

The great problem for evolutionists is to prove, explain, and demonstrate the "design and creation" of complex biological structures by evolution. To do this they must

1. discover historical (fossil) evidence that evolution actually did this in the past;

2. construct an experimentally testable theory to explain how new structures evolve;

3. [discover] the biological mechanisms used by evolution, and

4. demonstrate evolution in the process of creating something new today.

None of these requirements for proof of evolution has been accomplished. Consequently, we are not being "unscientific unscientific Unproven, see there " by believing in the God of Creation revealed to us in the Bible.

 the teaching of evolution in the state's public schools. Cultural conservatives on the board may have thought they were taking a bold stand against a threat to their beliefs about life's origins. But the real losers here will be the schoolchildren schoolchildren school nplécoliers mpl;

. If local school boards follow the state board's lead, bright students who might be inclined toward scientific careers may now reach college age with little or no exposure to the basic organizing principle of modern biology.

The Kansas school board did not explicitly ban the teaching of evolution, but did its best to discourage it. That seems a tragedy, given that evolution has become one of the best established of all scientific theories.

Yes, there are still controversies. Critics note that scientists have not yet been able to explain how natural selection could produce the complex machinery inside a human cell, for example. But that may come in a matter of time.

The Kansas action is a victory for creationists. Blocked by the courts from forcing creation theory into science curriculums, they are now working to drive references to evolution out of schools and textbooks. They will be repelled only when the advocates of sound science mount an equally vigorous campaign to keep evolution in the curriculum.
