He has talents (such as drawing) that I never even knew he had. But he also finds it hard to stay focused. Common for a 7-year-old? Some might say, It's been no small source of frustration for his mother and me. We know that if he shows a greater ability to focus, then he, too, will be promoted to advanced green belt in his karate karate: see martial arts. karate Martial art in which an attacker is disabled by crippling kicks and punches. But Jake doesn't respond to the same stimuli that Daniel does. We know that he'd remember to stop using his shirt as a napkin napkin See Sanitary napkin. and that he wouldn't keep losing his earplugs at camp if only he'd make a greater effort to focus. And I can't wait to stop having to remind him to turn out the light every time he leaves the bathroom. But why all this talk of clean hands freedom from guilt, esp. from the guilt of dishonesty in money matters, or of bribe taking. See also: Hand and keeping up with friends? It's a matter of heightened awareness and attention to detail. I believe Jake will improve with time. I suppose Jacob has a lot in common with many of you (except that you probably now turn the light out every time you leave the bathroom). Like Jacob, you'll have to find your own plan for achieving the goals you need to by deadline. Of course, HIPAA could threaten to send you straight to your room and cancel your play dates, but then again it hasn't worked that well on Jacob.
