BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 1996--EveryWare Development Corp. today announced the availability of Connected 3.0, a new release of its mid-range, multi-user accounting software.

The upgraded package offers some 30 new features that provide high-end functionality, with one of the richest feature sets available in a mid-range priced accounting system. Connected is a cross-platform accounting solution, supporting both Macintosh and Windows platforms concurrently over a local area network.

First introduced in 1992, Connected is one of the few accounting systems built from the ground up on the Macintosh platform, offering a Mac look and feel and a consistent interface between modules. An invaluable, adaptable tool

EveryWare has clients using Connected in industry segments such as: marketing/advertising, biotechnology, textile manufacturing, accounting/professional services, graphics/pre-press, and distribution.

Most Connected users are mid-sized, growing, entrepreneurial businesses, many of whom have made the transition to mid-level technology, often without formal accounting training.

"Connected's learning curve was minimal, letting us cross-train our folks and get at least two people up to speed in every functional area," said Fred Thimmel, president of Bryant Telescoper Conveyor Products. "Since the system went live, we've enjoyed unprecedented productivity."

Connected's easy-to-use interface is complemented by its robust data import capabilities, enabling new users to get up and running quickly with a minimum of re-keying. "Connected's comprehensive import routines let us transfer two years worth of data out of our old system with almost no manual entries," said Thimmel.

"I have looked for a long time for a reasonably priced package that would enable me to account for and report job cost data and time, as well as import and export data easily and reliably," said Ron Estey, managing director and CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  of C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures Inc. "Connected is the first that I have found and it does everything I need."
