Every one a winner when it comes to Wales; in association with BUSINESS ...VENTURE.


FIVE businesses run by Welsh-speakers have been presented with special awards at the National Eisteddfod eisteddfod (īstĕth`vəd, –vôd) [Welsh,=session], Welsh competitive festival. Contests traditionally are held in all the arts and crafts, with special emphasis on music and poetry.  in Mold in recognition of their success in promoting the language and contributing to their local or national economy.

The Gwobrau Menter - Enterprise Awards - are presented by economic development company Menter a Busnes.

The Local Enterprise Award was presented to Cerrig, a Pwllheli company with a 30-strong workforce that uses traditional materials and skills to offer high quality granite granite, coarse-grained igneous rock of even texture and light color, composed chiefly of quartz and feldspars. It usually contains small quantities of mica or hornblende, and minor accessory minerals may be present. , slate and marble products.

Welsh bookshop and gallery Siop y Siswrn from Mold took the Eisteddfod Area Award. The business plays a key role in the local community being heavily involved in the Eisteddfod.

The Young People's Enterprise Award went to hairdressers Dere i Dorri, which is currently expanding into beauty therapies having moved into a new salon Salon, annual exhibition of art works chosen by jury and presented by the French Academy since 1737; it was originally held in the Salon d'Apollon of the Louvre. By the mid-19th cent. the Salon had become an expression of conservative, established tastes in art.  in the centre of Lampeter.

The winner of the Tourism Enterprise Award was Bwyty'r Celtic Restaurant of Aberaeron.

The National Enterprise Award was presented to Gwasg Gomer Gomer (gō`mər), in the Bible.

Alun Jones Alun Jones (born on the 26 April 1980 in Boksburg, South Africa) is an Australian professional tennis player. He currently resides in Canberra, Australia with fiancee Jill.

Jones started playing tennis at age 7. His parents are David, a civil engineer, and Susan.
, chief executive of Menter a Busnes, said: "An increasing number of businesses are recognising the advantage of using Welsh and all 125 entries are making a valuable contribution to the economy."
