This is Dr. Angelou's second book of essays. She reads in her mellifluous mel·lif·lu·ous  
adj.

 voice. Mellifluous is an appropriate word, because her voice is sweet, rich, thick, and honey-colored. She narrates, recites poetry, sings, laughs.

Angelou's topics are diverse and personal. She speaks of the lessons her mother taught her, of Oprah Winfrey, about sex among the elderly, about the downside of fame, and the importance of sensuality--a lifelong appreciation of the senses. Her essays are full of wisdom garnered through a long life. Highly recommended.
