) (the "company") announced Thursday the addition to its professional staff of Dr. Howard E. Westerdahl as the Wetlands and Ecological Services Program Director of the company's environmental division.

Dr. Westerdahl has a Ph.D. in engineering with an emphasis on Water Resources and brings to the company over 20 years experience in technical research, management and strategic planning Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people.  in the areas of wetlands, environmental/ecological risk assessments, ecosystem management, remediation and restoration. Prior to joining Evans, Dr. Westerdahl spent six years at Battelle's Pacific Northwest Laboratory and 16 years with the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, Miss.
