Euros move into city's richest zip code.

Just a year after bringing the first-ever Morrell Wine Xchange store to the U.S., the unstoppable team of Faith Hope Consolo, Chairman, and Joseph A. Aquino, Executive Vice President, of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Leasing and Sales Division, has secured a 1,000-square-foot location in the same building--1035 Third Avenue.

The European-style cafe and bistro, to be named The Wine Xchange, is slated to open in time for the 2005 holiday season.

The duo, who have transformed 1035 Third Avenue by bringing Brella Bar, Gymboree, Arche and Wedding Things to the building, represented both the tenant and landlord exclusively in the 15-year lease. The new cafe will be situated between 61st and 62nd Streets, just steps from Bare Essentuals, Alexia Crawford and Searle--all retailers Consolo and Aquino brought to the neighborhood.

"This is the richest zip code in the city; home to luxury clothing, shoes, accessories and fine dining," says Consolo. "It is close enough to Madison and Fifth to have access to the Upper East Side's shoppers and diners, yet not so far east that it becomes lost amid First Avenue's restaurants."

Aquino adds "Third Avenue has a mall-like quality that is seldom found in Manhattan, which is why it is the perfect spot for shoppers to stop in for a drink and a light bite."
