European Union regulators cleared Dow Chemical's acquisition of parts of DuPont Dow Elastomers LLC, Wilmington, DE, a joint venture Dow has run with DuPont since 1996. DuPont Dow Elastomers had been a 50-50 joint venture of DuPont and Dow. Dow has exercised its option to acquire certain assets of the joint venture, while DuPont will purchase Dow's remaining stake in DuPont Dow Elastomers for $87 million.
