Sophisticated interpretation of the imagery has shown that the known gold veins on the Omagh property which contain European Gold's gold ore reserves, are clearly reflected as linear features. The gold deposits at Omagh are known to be associated with faults and shears in the underlying Dalradian rocks. Significantly, the released image reveals additional linear features strongly believed to represent faults that have never before been recognized or investigated. These lie parallel and closely adjacent to the known gold-bearing deposits including the Kearney deposit which is scheduled for initial development. The new features are of course prime targets for exploration. Prospecting in areas of glacial cover is often difficult due to surface cover. The new techniques are capable of revolutionizing exploration in such difficult terrains as they permit targeted exploration from the outset.
