European Coatings show slated for May 8-10; to feature new technical congress format.


The 2007 European Coatings Show plus Adhesives, Sealants, and Construction Chemicals will take place May 8-10, 2007, in Nurnberg, Germany, at the Exhibition Centre Nurnberg. Sponsored by Vincentz Network and NurnbergMesse, the biannual bi·an·nu·al

 show will feature approximately 750 exhibitors. The show is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees from 90 countries.

Held in conjunction with the European Coatings show is a technical congress program, which features a new format and is now called The Nurnberg Congress. The new conference format integrates the former six separate congresses into a single combined program. With a theme of "Formulating the Future," the objective of the conference is to shed light on the most recent research results and industrial developments, covering the entire range of raw materials and processes for the formulation of coatings, inks, adhesives, and construction chemicals. The Nurnberg Congress will be held May 7-9. The Congress will feature close to 150 technical presentations within 25 themed sessions. The Keynote Address keynote address

Additionally, four Pre-Congress Tutorials will be held the morning of May 7 prior to the start of the Congress sessions. The tutorial topics include "Biocide biocide (bī`əsīd'), synonym for pesticide.  Basics," "The Chemistry of Polyurethane Coatings," "The Chemistry of Radiation Curing Coatings," and "Surfactants in Waterborne Formulations." Separate registration for these tutorials is required.
