European Coatings Show attracts record attendance.


The 2005 European Coatings Show plus Adhesives, Sealants, Construction Chemicals, was held April 25-28 in Nuremberg, Germany. This year, the biannual bi·an·nu·al  
adj.

 show was attended by 19,886 industry members and featured 687 exhibitors, the largest numbers ever for the event.

The show included six congresses on technical topics, raw materials innovations, and other industry news. The congresses held were the 8th Nuremberg Conference, Stick!--4th European Conference on Adhesive and Sealant Sealant

 Raw Materials, the 5th European Conference on Construction Chemicals, the Ink Makers' Forum, the 3rd Workshop on Production Technology, and the Purchasers' Day. More than 150 speakers presented at the congress meetings.

As a sign of growth in new markets, an India Reception forum was held for the first time. The meeting gave people from the region a chance to meet and discuss the market, provide information, and make contacts.

Due to the pending reform of chemical laws in Europe, an informational and discussion forum was held on the forthcoming EU chemical policy changes. Representatives from the European Council European Council, a consultative branch of the governing body of the European Union (EU). It is composed of the heads of government of the EU nations and their foreign ministers, in conjunction with the president and two additional members from the European  of the Paint, Printing Ink and Artists' Colours Industry (CEPE CEPE Centre for Energy Policy and Economics

) were on hand to provide details and answer questions. This is the first time such a forum has been held at the show.
