Euromoney Institutional Investor (London/New York) has signed an agreement to acquire 47.5% of Asia Business Forum (ABF; Singapore), a conference organizer and training business for the Asian region, for 3 million [pounds sterling].

; Singapore), a conference organizer and training business for the Asian region, for 3 million [pounds sterling]. In addition, Euromoney has the option to acquire a further 42.5% of the company in March 2007 and the final 10% after 2009. The further payments are dependent on the audited profits for ABF for the years to Dec. 31, 2006, and 2009 or later, respectively. The maximum consideration payable for 100% of ABF is capped at 17.6 million [pounds sterling]. ABF was established in 1992 and its more than 200 events cover a range of subjects including finance, law, energy, pharmaceuticals, telecoms and aviation. Events are held in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov.  and China. Euromoney chairman Padraic Fallon Padraic Fallon (1905 - 1974) is an Irish poet. He was born in Athenry, County Galway, and later moved to Dublin where he became part of the George Russell circle.
