Euromed Clinic success. (Editorial). In my editorial of May 1996, I first reported on the new Euromed Clinic built in Furth, Germany, and devoted to the practice of state-of-the-art private medicine. In concept, this facility is not unlike that of the Mayo Clinic Mayo Clinic: see Mayo, Charles Horace. Mayo Clinic voluntary association of more than 500 physicians in Rochester, Minnesota. [Am. ENT Ears, nose & throat; formally, otorhinolaryngology department of the Euromed Clinic, was honored by the NES for his achievements in otoneurosurgery. Since our last visit the Euromed Clinic has almost doubled in size, with facilities to accommodate more hospital patient suites and facilities for special treatments (figure). New, comfortable, two-room hospital suites have been added, and all of the rooms have a large, thin television screen and an individual aquarium filled with live, colorful exotic fish. A new large, round, high-ceiling reception hall has a grand piano, and patients and visitors are offered live music for entertainment. The department of otolaryngology under the direction of Prof. Haid, who is a neurootologist, has grown to include five otolaryngologists and an adequate supporting staff. Dr. med. Dethard Nagel, in addition to being a working professional jazz musician, concentrates on facial plastic surgery and rhinology rhinology /rhi·nol·o·gy/ (ri-nol´ah-je) the medical specialty that deals with the nose and its diseases. rhi·nol·o·gy n. The surgical suites and the outpatient clinics are sparkling new and have the latest sophisticated equipment for voice, airway, allergy, endoscopic en·do·scope n.
