Euro bank foots $35m hotel bill.


AFC (1) (Application Foundation Classes) A class library from Microsoft that provides an application framework and graphics, graphical user interface (GUI) and multimedia routines for Java programmers.  Hotel Finance Group has arranged $35 million of financing for a portfolio of six Midwestern hotels.

The transaction includes hotels in Wisconsin and Michigan and are all part of the Hilton or Marriott brands, according to according to

 Peter M. Berk, President of AFC Hotel Finance Group, a Manhattan-based hotel financing company.

The financing--which was originated by Mr. Berk--was placed with a European investment bank European Investment Bank, nonprofit bank created in 1958 by the six founding countries of the European Economic Community (now part of the European Union [EU]).  for a Midwestern hotel company.

"Because of the diversified diversified (di·verˑ·s  nature of the brands and the strength of sponsorship and management, we were able to secure extremely competitive financing for this portfolio," Berk pointed out.
