The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. (JDRF JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International ) will hold their blacktie Fifth Annual Dream Gala at the Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, NJ to help fund progressive diabetes research. Last year's Dream Gala raised over $900,000 making it the single largest fundraising event for diabetes research in New Jersey. At this year's gala, Eugene McGovern Eugene McGovern (born 25 May 1982) is an Irish Rugby Union player, playing in the prop position for Munster and Garryowen. He made his debut for Munster against Newport Gwent Dragons in October 2003. From Limerick, McGovern was educated at Crescent College. , co-founder of Lehrer-McGovern Construction and former vice chairman of Pavarini McGovern Construction, will receive the JDRF Northern New Jersey & Rockland County Chapter's Man of the Year award for his dedicated support of the Foundation's mission to find a cure for diabetes.
