The Year of the Eucharist The Year of the Eucharist is the name of the liturgical year from October 2004 to October 2005, as celebrated by Catholics worldwide. On June 10, 2004, Pope John Paul II announced the dedication of an entire year to the Blessed Sacrament and invited the entire Church to reflect  closes this month with a Vatican synod SYNOD. An ecclesiastical assembly.  of bishops. Some Doctors of the church on the Eucharist:

St. Alphonsus de Liguori: "If [Jesus] had left himself under the appearance of some rare or costly food, the poor would not have been able to receive him. But he left himself under the appearance of bread, which is cheap and available to everyone, so that people in every land could find him and receive him."

St. Teresa of Avila Noun 1. Teresa of Avila - Spanish mystic and religious reformer; author of religious classics and a Christian saint (1515-1582)
Saint Teresa of Avila
: "Now then, once Jesus saw the need, he sought out a wonderful means by which to show the extreme of his love for us, and in his own name and in that of his brothers he made the following petition: 'Give us this day, Lord, our daily bread.'"

St. Catherine There are seven St. Catherines:
  • Saint Catherine of Alexandria (4th century)
  • Saint Catherine of Siena (Doctor of the Church, 1347-1380)
  • Saint Catherine of Bologna (1413-1463)
  • Saint Catherine of Ricci (1522-1590)
  • Saint Catherine of Sweden (circa 1332–1381)
 of Siena: "In communion communion: see Eucharist; Lord's Supper.  the soul seems more sweetly bound to God and better knows his truth.
