Ethylene project in Fushun passes evaluation.

On April 28 the 1 million t/a ethylene renovation project in Fushun Petrochemical Company, the first major project of CNPC and Liaoning, passed the evaluation by the expert team of China International Consulting Co., Ltd. entrusted by the National Development and Reform Commission. It shows that the project has started the substantial stage.

The project is a major component of the overall development strategy implemented by CNPC and is also a hope project for the economic vitalization of Liaoning and the institutional transformation, political stability and social stability of Fushun. After the completion of the project, Fushun will attain its development goals: 10 million t/a oil refining, 1 million t/a ethylene production, 4 world-class petroleum and petrochemical raw material production bases and an annual sales revenue of over RMB50 billion. Besides, the surplus capacity of utilities not listed in the stock market can be fully utilized to complement advantages and share resources for the joint development.
