Ethics Magazine Names Alaska Air Group One of Nation's Best Corporate Citizens.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 2000

Alaska Air Group today was named one of America's best corporate citizens by Business Ethics business ethics, the study and evaluation of decision making by businesses according to moral concepts and judgments. Ethical questions range from practical, narrowly defined issues, such as a company's obligation to be honest with its customers, to broader social  magazine.

In the March/April issue, which hits newsstands today, the magazine offers up its annual list of what it considers the nation's 100 most socially responsible companies.

Actually a university, the school's Chestnut Hill campus comprises colleges of arts and sciences and business administration, the graduate school, and schools of nursing  Carroll School of Management The Carroll School of Management is a graduate and undergraduate business school and one of the professional schools of Boston College.  using data compiled by the research firm of Kinder, Lydenberg, Domini & Company.

Alaska Air Group is the parent company of Alaska Airlines Alaska Airlines, (NYSE: ALK) is an airline based in Seattle, Washington, United States. It operates hubs at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Portland International Airport.  and Horizon Air, which collectively serve more than 70 cities throughout the Western U.S., Alaska, Canada and Mexico.

Late last year, in a poll conducted by Conde Nast Traveler magazine, Alaska was voted the nation's best major airline, while Horizon was voted top regional carrier and third-best overall.
