Esterel Technologies Announces SCADE Suite 5.0.

MUNICH, Germany -- Esterel Technologies, a leading worldwide supplier of model-based design, validation, and code generation tools for safety-critical software applications, today announced the newest version of its SCADE Suite(TM) product, which includes the latest version of its KCG DO-178B qualified and IEC 61508 certified C code generator.

In addition, the Code Generator KCG 4.2 has just received a product certificate by TUV Automotive GmbH, TUV SUD Group, according to the IEC 61508 standard. Assessments by TUV Automotive GmbH guarantee supreme quality throughout all technical fields, under the flag of the strong brand, TUV SUD Group.

These certification agency approvals eliminate the need for unit testing for SCADE block diagrams, thus enabling fast and safe implementation of design updates.

SCADE Suite(TM) 5.0 also natively supports all certifiable Real Time Operating Systems (RTOSs), including ARINC-653, VxWorks(R), MicroC/OS-II(R), and TTP-OS(R), enabling a fully certifiable design flow for safety-critical embedded systems.
