NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors. In Japan, it had the lion's share of the PC market until the late 1990s (see PC 98).

NEC was founded in Tokyo in 1899 as Nippon Electric Company, Ltd.
 Corporation announced today the establishment and starting of new service company, Auraline, Inc. in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

This company is aimed to offer direct marketing using electronic mails. NEC has researched and promoted as business at NEC's US based subsidiary, NEC Systems, Inc. The new company is located San Jose, California San Jose (IPA: /ˌsænhoʊˈzeɪ/) is the third-largest city in California, and the tenth-largest in the United States. It is the county seat of Santa Clara County. . NEC Soft NEC Soft, Ltd. (Japanese NECソフト株式会社 NEC Soft Kabushiki Gaisha) is a subsidiary of NEC Corp. It is headquartered in Koto-ku, Tokyo, Japan, and specialized in Information and Communication Technology systems building and , Ltd. has minor stake in the new company and promotes new business within Japan.

The new company has its capital of 5.7 million US dollars and 15 employees at the beginning. It is aiming for sales of 104 million US dollars in three years and for listing at the stock market.

), is to send direct mails that usually delivered as regular mail via the Internet as electronic mail form. By using effective rich media such as animations and sounds in comparison to simple paper and text, personalized/customized information can be sent as direct mail. Also while sending this direct mail, customer information will be gathered as database and the result of direct mails will be provided on the Internet. Richmedia mail has two methods, a) list URL URL

NEC offered its greeting card service for two months since June 1999 as limited campaign. During this limited time, total of 55,000 mails regarding this service was distributed and approximately 57% of these mails were opened. According to the research in the similar electronic advertising, ratio of mail opened by customer is approximately 10%. Also total of 130,000 greeting cards were distributed.

Based on multimedia related software technologies and Internet services fostered at NEC since 1995, Auraline will promote its RDM service business.
