Essex awarded GSA contract.

Essex Corporation (AMEX:EYW), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sensys Development Laboratories, Inc. (SDL), has been awarded a five year contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) for Information Technology (IT) Professional Services. Essex is a technology and product innovator, skilled in optical engineering, processing, and communications.

Under this contract, Essex can provide a range of IT professional services (including systems engineering, signal intelligence engineering, software engineering and programming services) to all elements of the Federal Government, state and local governments based on an approved price list. The General Services Administration provides and contracts for products and services throughout the Federal Government. It gives Ordering Officials an efficient and effective way to get work started at fair and reasonable pricing, without the need for further competitive procurement action.

"This contract will allow customers to quickly and easily get Essex support for both on-going requirements and for quick response to tough problems," said Leonard Moodispaw, CEO/President of Essex Corporation. "This contract will add more smart revenue and greater flexibility as we expand the professional services component of our business. It will be particularly important to our defense and intelligence customers and their national priority initiatives."
