Essence of faith.


I opened the April issue and found two articles that spoke to my needs: The Editor's Note Editor's Note (foaled in 1993 in Kentucky) is an American thoroughbred Stallion racehorse. He was sired by 1992 U.S. Champion 2 YO Colt Forty Niner, who in turn was a son of Champion sire Mr. Prospector and out of the mare, Beware Of The Cat.

, "The way to dusty death" by Catherine O'Connell-Cahill, and The Examined Life, "Are we there yet?" by Bryan Cones. Both were poignant reminders of how long the road can seem and how little we know in advance of its turnings. But both were also full of faith and beautifully written.

A much-loved cousin of mine had just died of a late-appearing lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States in both men and women.  ponder his cruel death and their failure to understand why this had to happen. It continues to give hope, as do essays such as the "bookends" of the April issue.
