Esmertec to Integrate Hybrid's OpenGL ES based Graphics Solutions into its Jbed Solution.


HELSINKI, Finland & DUEBENDORF-ZURICH, Switzerland -- Esmertec(TM) (www.esmertec.com) and Hybrid Graphics Ltd. (www.hybrid.fi) announce today their partnership, according to which Esmertec will integrate Hybrid's implementation of the Mobile 3D Graphics API The Mobile 3D Graphics API, commonly referred to as M3G, is a specification defining an API for writing Java programs that produce 3D computer graphics. It extends the capabilities of the Java Platform, Micro Edition, a version of the Java platform tailored for embedded  for J2ME (Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition) A version of Java 2 for cellphones, PDAs and consumer appliances. J2ME uses the K Virtual Machine (KVM), a specialized Java interpreter for devices with limited memory. (TM) (M3G M3G Mobile 3D Graphics ) to its Jbed(TM) platform.
