Errors mar Autumn issue.

Editor: "Human Systems and Ecosystems: We Need a New Way of Thinking," (Autumn 2006) read like an advertisement. I speak of the excessive use of the first person. "I" and "we" were used 73 times. "My experience," "my firm," "our firm," or "my company" were used 15 times.

Editor: I am a member of AMERICAN FORESTS American Forests is a nonprofit conservation organization that promotes healthy forests and urban tree planting.

When you spend the money to produce a special insert about a very significant scientific subject and a new policy initiative, its text should be impeccable im·pec·ca·ble

: Thanks to all those who read this--and every--issue of American Forests with a careful eye. Because I was on extended medical leave last summer and fall, American Forests had to create the Autumn issue without its usual editor/art director team.
