Ericsson and Rogers Cantel to Market Wireless Office Solutions to Canadians.

Ericsson Canada Inc. signs a strategic marketing agreement with

Rogers Cantel Inc., Canada's largest wireless provider, to deliver

Cantel(R) AT&T (TM) Wireless Office Service to Canadian businesses

Ericsson Canada Inc. (Ericsson) and Rogers Cantel Inc. (Rogers Cantel) announced today an agreement to promote and sell Wireless Office Systems and Solutions, including marketing programs, business calls and cross referrals.

Utilizing Ericsson TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) A satellite and cellular phone technology that interleaves multiple digital signals onto a single high-speed channel. For cellular, TDMA triples the capacity of the original analog method (FDMA).  technology, Rogers Cantel will offer their Wireless Office Service to corporate customers. This service offers subscribers Wireless Office Dialing, One Number/One Voicemail Call Delivery, Office Zone Pricing, and Enhanced In-building Coverage. Subscribers will have one wireless handset that operates as an extension of the office PBX (Private Branch eXchange) An inhouse telephone switching system that interconnects telephone extensions to each other as well as to the outside telephone network (PSTN).  or Centrex service and automatically connects to the macro network when taken outside the office.

As a result of this partnership, Ericsson will be the only Wireless Office Service vendor with manufacturer representation in Canada and with the ability to provide a total solution including infrastructure, terminals and 1st line service support. Further, the service offering is unique to Rogers Cantel in Canada as Wireless Office Service depends on the availability of the hierarchical cell structure of the Cantel AT&T IS-136 TDMA network.

Ericsson Wireless Office Solutions require no cell planning and can support 14 simultaneous calls per radio head (RH). It uses a web-based user interface that supports remote diagnostics Vehicle Diagnostics
Vehicle diagnostics enables a mechanic to diagnose the exact mechanical condition of the vehicle and its systems and components. Remote Diagnostics enables to perform such diagnosis without requiring the vehicle to physically be present for checkup.
; allows users to change their own profile; and takes care of system administration. The system is also suitable for areas, like hospitals, that have sensitive equipment.
