Ericsson Selected by Bellwave for Second Generation 3G Platform.


STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERICY) and Bellwave have signed a license agreement for U250, which is the latest state-of-the art WCDMA WCDMA - Wideband Code Division Multiple Access/GPRS platform from Ericsson Mobile Platforms. With the agreement, Bellwave and Ericsson extend their cooperation of combining Ericsson's industry leading WCDMA/GPRS platform technology and Bellwave's innovative and feature rich products.

"The new platform provides advanced multimedia application enablers such as support for multi-megapixel cameras, advanced network signaling features required by operators, a very compact size and lower power consumption."
