Ericsson Awarded GSM Expansion Frame Agreement in China.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 2004

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERICY) has signed a frame agreement with Guangxi Mobile Communications Company Limited (Guangxi Mobile) for the expansion of their GSM network in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (gwäng`shē` jwäng`), province (1994 est. pop. 44,550,000), c.85,000 sq mi (220,150 sq km), S China, bordering on Vietnam. The capital is Nanning. Guangxi is drained by the navigable Xi River and its many tributaries., Southwestern China. The total value of the agreement is estimated to USD 109 million.

In addition to the expansion of the existing network, Ericsson will deploy the advanced AXE810 platform and RBS2206 radio base stations. The implementation of the agreement will be completed by the end of 2004.

"After this expansion supported by Ericsson, our network capacity will reach around 8 million users."
