Eric C. Rudney Joins Summit Bancshares, Inc. and Summit Bank Board of Directors.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Summit Bancshares, Inc. and Summit Bank announces the appointment of local entrepreneur and registered investment advisor, Eric C. Rudney to its Board of Directors.

Eric Rudney, President of Rudney Associates in San Ramon has more than 23 years experience in investment planning and asset management. He manages assets for qualified retirement plans, corporation, partnerships, sole proprietorships and individuals.

Summit Bancshares, Inc. and Summit Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Shirley W. Nelson believes the addition of Rudney, in such a vital leadership role, will further strengthen the board's capabilities. "Eric has been active in the Contra Costa community for many years. He brings great leadership and investment skills to us, which will allow him to become an integral part of our organization. We are very pleased to welcome him to our bank."

Rudney will serve as a one of the Bank's six-member board of directors, who are responsible for the bank's overall policies and planning. Other directors include Shirley W. Nelson, George Hollidge, Mary Warren, Kikuo Nakahara and John Protopappas.
