Erhardt + Leimer announced the construction of a 50,000 square foot facility to be located in Spartanburg Spartanburg, city (1990 pop. 43,467), seat of Spartanburg co., NW S.C., in Piedmont near the N.C. line; inc. 1831. The center of a large area of mill villages, the city is noted for its textile production. It is an important commercial, transportation, and trade focus in an extensive cotton, agriculture, and livestock region. Machinery, chemicals, plastics, wood, metal, clay, and paper items are also manufactured., SC. The facility will house the administrative, sales and marketing, engineering and manufacturing operations and will consolidate both the existing Spartanburg, SC and Rockford, IL operations into one facility. As a result of the new facility, the company is expanding its production capacity by approximately 25% to help meet production schedules dictated by increased sales.
