Available now, Impresa 7.0 is the only MRO software product that supports all three major categories of MRO: structures, complex assemblies and components. The new features in Impresa 7.0 integrate with existing MRO features, making Impresa the solution of choice for aviation and aerospace repair facilities, as well as companies that manufacture and repair highly engineered products such as locomotives, ships and tanks.
"The release of Impresa 7.0 positions Epicor as the premier MRO software provider, with customers live and running," said Doug McGregor, vice president and general manager of the Impresa products group for Epicor. "Our collaboration with two valued customers, BF Goodrich and Pemco-both premier MRO companies-further enhanced our development of this state-of-the-art MRO software solution."
Supports Three Major Categories of Aircraft Maintenance
Impresa 7.0 is ideal for airframe maintenance, providing a work card based system that complements existing procedures. Additionally, Impresa 7.0 is built with powerful tools to easily form complex, tailored maintenance plans for specific fleets or individual aircraft.
In complex assemblies shops, Impresa 7.0 supports a continuous flow process that includes induction, strip, inspect, in-house repair, kit, built, test and ship. And, the Impresa 7.0 workscope configurator facilitates the creation of detailed work instructions and tracking data, before an aircraft engine is inducted. Optimized for work performance, Impresa 7.0 reduces "out-of-service" time, reduces cost and improves shop performance.
Components maintenance benefits from the richness and flexibility of Impresa's common files, which are integrated in a streamlined process designed for handling high-volumes of end units. With Impresa 7.0, unit data and repair instructions can be entered in seconds, and work orders released with the click of a button. In addition, mechanics are able to instantly generate quotes for repair jobs. Throughout the repair cycle, Impresa 7.0 tracks inspections results, material used and labor consumed. The resulting data is invoice generation, on and off logs and FAA airworthiness documentation.
"The collaboration on the Impresa 7.0 release has been outstanding," said Graeme Taylor, BFGoodrich's Impresa project implementation manager. "It is a first in any MRO product, as it brings together every aspect of repair and overhaul in one consolidated package. This is the first time that components, airframe and engines have been synergistically combined."
Epicor's Impresa Solution
Epicor's Impresa solution is specifically designed to manage the unique business requirements of MRO organizations, and is specialized to serve the needs of the aerospace, defense and transportation industries. The Impresa business system handles project and ownership orientation and the cyclical nature and variable workload of the MRO process through the provision of complex assembly, component, and airframe repair and overhaul functions. Impresa 7.0 is easy to use and convenient, incorporating pull-down menus. Impresa's flexible billing structure enables complex estimating, quoting and invoicing required by MRO companies. Additionally, FAA required documentation has been incorporated into this latest release.
Using the power of the Oracle Developer/2000 tool set, Impresa 7.0 automates all areas of the enterprise, including MRO activities, product design, inventory control, procurement, quality control, manufacturing and finance. Impresa's advanced client-server technology delivers the performance and scalability needed for real-time integration of global operations.
