9100 advanced data collection terminals to replace and enhance the existing data collection system. The new system will automatically collect data in the following areas: time and attendance, inventory, work order execution, and materials management.

The new eXpresso system will help the company control costs and improve efficiency by working seamlessly with a variety of existing software and hardware systems.

An important objective of the new system is to enable Electric Boat to use their data collection terminals to gain access to everything from the corporate directory to policies and procedures Policies and Procedures are a set of documents that describe an organization's policies for operation and the procedures necessary to fulfill the policies. They are often initiated because of some external requirement, such as environmental compliance or other governmental , safety rules and accumulated know-how of other staff.

"The new MPT9100 data collection terminals will provide employees with improved on-screen access to corporate information assets. In addition, the eXpresso software platform will greatly improve the collection and distribution of information," said Murphy.

The MPT9100 terminals feature a large, integrated, VGA (Video Graphics Array) The display standard for the PC. All PC display adapters support VGA, and Windows machines boot up in "VGA mode" before switching to higher resolutions.  color screen and trans-reflective display that provides excellent visibility in industrial environments. The terminal's touch-screen interface provides a high degree of versatility in application user interface design.
