:ENZ) reported today that the Federal Court issued a ruling relating to the claim terms in eight patents asserted against Defendants Affymetrix, Roche, Amersham, PerkinElmer, Sigma Aldrich, Orchid Biosciences and Molecular Probes. The cases are pending before the Honorable Judge John Sprizzo in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York New York, state, United States

According to Counsel for Enzo, the ruling supports Enzo's position that hundreds of defendants' products infringe certain Enzo patents. The ruling opens the door for Enzo to not only pursue its patent infringement patent infringement n. the manufacture and/or use of an invention or improvement for which someone else owns a patent issued by the government, without obtaining permission of the owner of the patent by contract, license or waiver.  claims, but, as importantly, to also aggressively pursue its claims that defendants breached their contractual obligations to Enzo.
