Envive Offers the Complete Solution For SAP R/3 Service Level and Performance Management.

Latest version of Service Level Suite and launch of Advisor product and new professional services capabilities secure Envive's position as

the only viable provider of SAP R/3 diagnostics and service level

software and services.

Envive(R) Corporation, the leading application management solutions provider for SAP(TM) R/3(R), today announced the latest version of Service Level Suite(TM) (SLS) and the addition of its new Advisor(TM) product. The Company also announced a new professional services organization that will offer a suite of technical consulting and performance management services to help SAP customers gain maximum value from their R/3 investment. In addition, the Company announced that it has received Business Application Program Interface (BAPI) validation for Envive's SLS in the SAP Complementary Software Program (CSP). With this announcement, Envive provides SAP R/3 customers with complete, validated, service level reporting and performance tuning software and services from a single vendor.

Envive Advisor

Envive's new Advisor product allows Basis professionals to proactively analyze and address performance issues in their SAP system through an automatic knowledge-based system health check. Advisor first develops a baseline analysis to determine normal system performance. It then applies a series of knowledge-based rules against the baseline to identify abnormal behavior that can lead to performance problems. Basis engineers can then use Advisor to drill down and learn more about the abnormal behavior and perform what if analyses to see how changes in loading can improve system performance. Basis engineers can also enhance the Advisor's health check by adding additional knowledge rules using their SAP knowledge. These performance checks are done offline to allow Basis engineers to analyze performance according to their schedules.

Advisor offers significant time and performance benefits to SAP R/3 administrators. With the automation of the detailed performance checks and the ability to fine-tune the system, Advisor significantly increases the effectiveness of a company's SAP staff. Envive SLS 3.0

Envive's SLS provides a total SAP service level and performance management solution that scales from CIO level executives down to more junior level BASIS staff. With Envive's SLS service level reporting features, senior management can detail end-user end-to-end response time performance and usage by business unit, department or geography. The real-time monitoring and diagnosis features of SLS provide BASIS engineers with an intelligent alerting of their systems. They can now identify and correct potential problems before they occur and reduce the time to repair problems when they occur. This increased efficiency allows customers to utilize Basis staff more efficiently. In addition, this suite of products enable complete, collaborative SAP management by giving a traditionally disparate set of users (i.e. CIO, R/3 Manager, Basis Administrator, Network Manager, etc.), a place with multiple views to all R/3 systems information.

New features of SLS include: a web browser-based GUI, which provides enhanced ease-of-use and universal, secure access for reports; more reports including enhanced availability reports for improved service level management; and a new Error Analyzer, which enables users to create views of historical alerts based on selectable parameters.

SLS is the first performance management product to integrate with the SAP Monitoring Architecture 4.6. SLS complements the operations features of CCMS and traditional system management frameworks with superior service level reporting and performance functions. Integration with CA-Unicenter is included in this version, along with continued integration with BMC Patrol, Tivoli and HP OpenView system frameworks.

In addition, unlike the SAP Monitoring Architecture, SLS runs on a separate architecture allowing post-mortem analysis even when R/3 is down. Support is also now available for Microsoft SQL servers running on Windows NT, which extend the performance and availability advantages of larger installations to the Small and Medium Enterprise market.

Envive Professional Services

Envive now offers a suite of technical consulting and performance management services to help the R/3 team plan, manage, control, and optimize their distributed R/3 computing environment. Specific services will include SLS implementation assistance, defining business specific service agreements, creating custom service level reports, and R/3 performance tuning analysis.

SAP CSP Partner

Envive also announced today that the company has received Business Application Program Interface (BAPI) validation for Envive's SLS in the SAP Complementary Software Program (CSP). To receive this BAPI validation, Envive passed SAP's rigorous requirements, testing, and certification guidelines. This certification represents a significant milestone for Envive and validates the strength Envive's products as well as its close relationship with SAP AG.

Pricing and Availability

SLS version 3 and Advisor will be shipping from October 1999 with a starting price of $37,500 and $10,000 respectively. Advisor will be sold at the promotional price of $7,500 with purchases of SLS v3.0 from October 1999 until January 2000, inclusive.
