Enviro Voraxial Technology to Expand Relationship with Maritime Solutions, Inc.

Enviro Voraxial Technology Inc. (OTCBB:EVTN) announced today that the company has begun discussions with Maritime Solutions Inc. to strategize methods in which the two companies will begin marketing their system for the treatment of ballast water to the shipping industry. Currently Maritime Solutions Inc. retains the worldwide distribution rights to market Enviro's Voraxial Separator (VAS) for Marine Environment Liquid Separation applications.

Christopher Constantine, President of Maritime Solutions stated, "Current ballast water management practices prescribed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) are mostly voluntary at this time, however regulations are expected to become mandatory in the near future. We feel that our system, which is built around the ability of the VAS to prepare enormous volumes of ballast water for secondary treatment, gives us a unique ability in the marketplace."

The discharge of ballast water has been identified as a primary mechanism for the introduction of unwanted invasive marine species into territorial waters. Thus, the management and treatment of ballast water to eliminate the undesirable introduction of non-indigenous species of marine organisms is now a growing environmental and economic concern of global proportions. It is estimated that the introduction of the zebra mussel alone, into the waters of the Great Lakes, has caused over 5 billion dollars in damages.

Other concerns now include the introduction of the Chinese mitten crab along the West Coast which is threatening California's water distribution system and endangering salmon runs. A further example is the periodic introduction of the pathogenic bacterium, Vibrio cholera along the waters of the U.S. Gulf Coast and its associated human health hazard.
