Enuclia Semiconductor Names Display Industry Executive, Bruce Berkoff, President and CEO; Former Executive of Global Leader LG.Philips LCD Joins Innovative Semiconductor Firm in Oregon.

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Enuclia(TM) Semiconductor, Inc. is pleased to announce that Bruce Berkoff has joined the company as president and CEO. Berkoff is the former executive vice-president and chief marketing officer of LG.Philips LCD (NYSE:LPL) (KRX:034220), the world's leading manufacturer of thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD). Enuclia, a fabless semiconductor company focused on emerging display electronics, this month also announced $13 million in Series B financing.

About Bruce Berkoff

Berkoff joined Enuclia from LG.Philips LCD where he was executive vice-president and chief marketing officer. There, he led product marketing, promotion and product planning teams, and the strategic marketing and analysis functions. Before that, Berkoff was general manager of the software and electronics business unit of Philips Flat Display Systems. Earlier in his career, Berkoff held executive management positions at several display companies including UMAX Computer Corporation, Radius, and SuperMac Technologies, and with Ziff-Davis Labs.

Berkoff is well known for his visionary keynote addresses and panel chairmanships or roles at display and electronics industry events including the Symposium on Information Displays (SID) Business Conference, DisplayForum Europe, HDTF Forum, Asia SID (ASID), EuroDisplays (ESID), the U.S. Flat Panel Display Conference, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in physics and biophysics from Princeton and the University of California, Berkeley, respectively. Berkoff also has display-related patents both granted and pending in the U.S. and China.
