Entrepreneurs' group wins global accolade.

THE Bahrain chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) has been recognised as one of the best in the world.

Former president and Middle East and Pakistan area director Abdulrahman Almoayed confirmed it had achieved the coveted RockStar Chapter status.

"This is a huge honour and demonstrates everyone's complete dedication and the board's resilience and determination to provide the best value possible to the membership," he said.

"It represents success because it's among the highest-ranking chapters in the world, recognition for creating outstanding member value and high performance since they've worked hard to reach the recommended standards set by the EO's Chapter Development Committee.

"The whole board is looking forward to raise the very high standards yet again in the future and maintain that level of commitment, excitement and excellent engagement with its membership and its larger community."

EO was founded in US in 1987 with the aim of helping entrepreneurs achieve professional and personal success through cross-learning and experience-sharing, ultimately building the most influential entrepreneurial community in the world.

It now has 8,500 members worldwide in 140 chapters.

The Bahrain chapter was established in 2004 and represents a group of the most influential and informed entrepreneurs in the country.

EO Bahrain now has 30 members, up from 17 last year and is headed by Luay Khalifat.
