Coupled with NTS' existing family of Shadow IP management products, IPcentral provides network administrators with a reliable, scalable, and secure IP management solution.

Powerful Modeling Capabilities

IPcentral is an SQL database containing network configuration and topology information that includes IP addresses, DNS names, and related data. Its purpose is to centralize information that assists network administrators in planning and designing their intranets. IPcentral contains powerful network design wizards that aid in organizing and designing an IP network, graphically illustrate a network's topology, configure subnets geographically, and organize subnets into Open Shortest Path First Areas (OSPF). IPcentral can also communicate in real-time with IPservers, downloading Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS), and Dynamic NetBIOS Name Service (DNBNS) configuration data to servers and uploading operational data from the servers.

Advanced Configuration Tool

IPcentral compiles information from scattered and incompatible sources (e.g., HOST files, BootP tab files, spreadsheets, DNS zones files and any text file) into a centralized network configuration relational database. In addition to network configuration data, IPcentral's database includes information about network device types, asset property data, domain and NetBIOS name assignments, and more. IPcentral's multi-level security allows administrators to delegate network management responsibilities to meet any organizational structure. IPcentral can also import and export DNS zone files and other existing network configuration data, and organize and manage DNS systems in a mixed-vendor environment.

IPcentral's "network status board" provides a pictorial view of the status of every device in an IP network, so that administrators understand the state of their networks, and can diagnose and correct any configuration errors. While allowing network administrators to diagnose and fix configuration problems in real-time, IPcentral provides an instantaneous view into the operational tables of IPservers. IPcentral is the only IP configuration tool that allows the transfer of network operational data in real-time for Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) and Shadow IPservers.
