AIIM International and Doculabs will again host the AIIM/Doculabs Solutions Center. In a theater setting, Doculabs will present an ongoing series of interactive forums. In each 45-minute session, a panel of vendors discusses a particular technology category. Doculabs facilitators moderate the panel and provide a "reality check" - giving attendees a valuable opportunity to question vendors directly and gather hype-free information away from the buzz of crowded vendor booths. The Channel Connection will take place May 1 - 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. This "channel only" business lounge is the place to make alliances. In addition, AIIM and Business Solutions will present the Channel Connection Awards, Thursday, May 3 at noon to recognize leading VARs and Integrators of ECM related technologies.

Standards at AIIM 2001

AIIM International will host standards committee meetings throughout the expo. New discussion topics include XML for the exchange of document images and related metadata, digital preservation, and WebDAV property registration. Tutorials will be provided on AIIM's new ARP1-2001 entitled "Implementation Guidelines and Standards Associated with Web-Based Document Management Technologies" as well as the Workflow Management Coalition's Reference Model and their Wf-XML Interface." The American National Standards Institute will present a session on Strategies for Success in Standards. At the annual Standards Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, May 1, AIIM International will honor those volunteers who have contributed to the program as well as recognizing those individuals who participated in the latest published standards.

Best Practices Award

The AIIM International Best Practices Award recognizes excellence in the content, document, and process management technology field. This award is specifically focused on the accomplishments within the Enterprise Content Management area within e-business - the technologies used to capture, create, customize, deliver, and manage content to support enterprise-wide business processes. Winners will be announced at a banquet on Wednesday, May 2 at noon.
