In the case of a railroad, it refers to a company that is a subsidiary but operates with its own identity and rolling stock.  Enterprise Products Operating L.P., has purchased Quest Transmission Ltd. and its general partner, Quest Energy Co., for $14.4 million in cash. The effective date of the purchase is March 1, 2003, with Enterprise assuming operations May 1, 2003.
