) 8000 and 8600 chassis. The SSR-GTX32-02 provides two ports of 1000 Base-T switched and routed connectivity via RJ-45 connectors. Ideal for high-speed collapsed backbones A network configuration that provides a backbone in a centralized location, to which all subnetworks are attached. A collapsed backbone is implemented in a router or switch that uses a high-speed backplane that can handle the simultaneous traffic of all or most of its ports at full wire  and server-farm environments, the new module offers Enterprise companies the ability to further their use of copper based Gigabit solutions.

Both products will be available on April 15, 2000. The VHSIM-G02 is priced at $2,495.00 and the SSR-GTX32-02 is priced at $3,495.00. For more information on these innovative products, please go to www.enterasys.com/gigabit/products.
