Enterasys Networks Inc. (NYSE: ETS), a leading provider of broadline enterprise networking solutions, announced that dj Orthopedics Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of products and services for the orthopedic sports medicine market, selected Enterasys to provide its corporate network infrastructure. dj Orthopedics replaced their legacy network with a complete enterprise infrastructure leveraging high-speed Gigabit Ethernet, secure remote access, network management and wireless connectivity to support the growing company's manufacturing and business operations.

Prior to its implementation of the J.D. Edwards OneWorld ERP system, the dj Orthopedics technical team determined that its existing infrastructure could not handle the increased network capacity requirements and performance metrics of the new system. Receiving network upgrade bids and proposals from a variety of vendors, dj Orthopedics selected Enterasys Networks for its focus on the enterprise, engineering and account team support, modular product design, security and wireless adaptability, as well as cost effectiveness.

The company's new corporate infrastructure features Enterasys' Matrix E7 intelligent switching platform to deliver Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. In addition, the Matrix Advanced Router Module (ARM), provides high-performance routing functionality and pinpoint application control. And, Enterasys' NetSight Atlas network management software efficiently monitors and manages the entire network, offering optimum visibility and control.

With more than 50 distributors throughout the United States, dj Orthopedics also requires secure, remote access to enable its partners with direct access to "real time" sales and warehouse data. Using Enterasys' Aurorean Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology, distributors and remote employees can securely connect to the company network. In addition, the company's subsidiaries in Germany and the United Kingdom are connected via Enterasys' Aurorean VPN to the company's international distribution operations.

dj Orthopedics complements its high-speed infrastructure, secure remote access and network management capabilities with mobile connectivity.
