The purchase terms are for restricted ETEN company stock and graduated cash payments, and like the company's agreement regarding the purchase of ICD's Court Manager Suite, this acquisition also provides for the full and outright ownership of all associated rights, title and interest in the IDNet product, as well as rights to intellectual property, proprietary software and licenses.

IDNet is an ASP service that provides a data portal to the law enforcement community, allowing users to retrieve information from both local and national administrative and criminal databases, via a handheld PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. It typically includes a name and address database, calendar, to-do list and note taker, which are the functions in a personal information manager (see PIM).  using wireless and Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) capabilities. The PDA -- `Intelligent Agent Device (IAD (Integrated Access Device) A device that multiplexes a variety of communications technologies in the customer's premises onto a single telephone line for transmission to the carrier. It also demultiplexes the incoming streams into their respective channels. )' -- utilizes iCyberData's CyberTrans (wireless) technology, permitting a secure connection and access to the IDNet informational portal containing all matter of law enforcement interest.

The IAD is capable of accessing local and national criminal databases and displaying requested information within a networked, secured environment. Together, the IDNet portal and iCyberData's wireless technology will provide an officer, remotely, with information without interfering with existing data storage mechanisms already in place in the community. As with the Court Manager Suite, iCyberData is developing the functionality and features of the IDNet portal in cooperation with several national law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law.
