Entegris, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENTG), the materials integrity management company, today announced it has received significant repeat orders for its A300 Front Opening Unified Pods (FOUP FOUP Front Opening Unified Pod ) from a major Taiwanese 300 mm foundry and its F300 AutoPod(TM) FOUPs from a leading North American North American

 semiconductor manufacturer. The companies will use the FOUPs to protect and transport delicate silicon wafers throughout the manufacturing process and during shipment to customers in an effort to improve yield through materials integrity management.

The Taiwanese 300 mm foundry chose to add $2.6 million (U.S.) in additional product to support increased production capacity for two fabs located in Taiwan. After extensive evaluation, the Entegris FOUP proved to be superior in reliability, interoperability, material purity, wafer isolation and contamination control Procedures to avoid, reduce, remove, or render harmless (temporarily or permanently) nuclear, biological, and chemical contamination for the purpose of maintaining or enhancing the efficient conduct of military operations. .

Entegris' North American customer has also recognized Entegris as a reliable supplier of high- performance products, leading to a repeat FOUP order valued at $2 million (U.S.). This leader in semiconductor production will use Entegris' F300 FOUPs in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and European fabs. Because product performance is vital, company management has been particularly impressed by Entegris' ability to manufacture FOUPs to consistent specifications over time.
