Entegris merged with Mykrolis Corporation in August, 2005. In its complaint, Pall referenced two Mykrolis filtration products, QuickChange(R) ATM and Wafergard(R) MAX, that are used in the semiconductor manufacturing process. Both products and their predecessor products have been on the market for more than 10 years and are covered by numerous patents held by Entegris (Mykrolis). The Company first learned of Pall's claim in the Pall press release issued on Friday, December 16, 2005 and only received a copy of the complaint late today. Entegris is confident that it has not violated any intellectual property rights of Pall. The Company respects the intellectual property rights of others, and expects its competitors to refrain from infringement of its patents. Entegris believes that Pall's action is entirely without merit and will vigorously defend this suit.
