ANN ARBOR, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--

Security Partners Program Delivers Expanded, More Convenient

Security Capabilities to Users of Windows NT

Ensure Technologies, the award-winning leader in wireless PC security, has entered a co-marketing relationship with Microsoft Corp. to deliver expanded and more convenient security capabilities to users of the Microsoft Windows NT operating system. As part of its participation in the Microsoft Security Partners Program, Ensure's XyLoc wireless PC security solution will extend its innovative Full-Time Access Control and Proximity-Based Authentication technology to automatically protect Windows NT desktops and portables from unauthorized access. Ensure is building on the robust security model of Windows NT and increasing its convenience to deliver peace of mind when users step away from their PCs whether they are on the road with a portable or connected to a large enterprise network.

"Microsoft is pleased to include Ensure Technologies as part of its Security Partners Program," said Scott Culp, Windows NT Security product manager at Microsoft Corp. "This program will help our mutual customers develop and deploy secure solutions built on the Windows NT platform."

"We're excited to be part of this co-marketing relationship with Microsoft to extend XyLoc's security capabilities to Windows NT," said George Brostoff, co-founder and president of Ensure Technologies. "By taking the burden of securing the PC off of the user, XyLoc adds tremendous value and security to the Windows NT environment and greatly improves user convenience and compliance. We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship."

Ensure's XyLoc wireless PC security system complements the native security architecture of Windows NT by allowing Windows NT to automatically and instantaneously secure the PC whenever the user steps away. XyLoc is an automatic wireless security system for PCs and laptops that transparently prevents unauthorized access to information resources while making access to network services more convenient for the user. XyLoc provides full-time access control, protecting the computer not just at log-on, but at all times, by automatically locking the computer whenever the authorized user steps away. XyLoc constantly monitors for authorized users based on their proximity to the PC - without requiring any user intervention or disrupting user workflow. XyLoc delivers positive identification and supports single and dual-factor authentication.
