Enlist now: next camp Jan. 9-12.Tax Boot Camp is designed to prepare new staff of CalCPA members for tax season by providing hands-on training in return preparation, work paper technique, tax research and basic tax law. "Recruits" are drilled in basic tax techniques over the course. A comprehensive, realistic tax problem developed with the help of San Diego CPAs provides real-life examples of common tax reporting forms, escrow statements, business records, rental records, lease agreements and other common tax supporting documents. Students also practice using checklists and worksheets. The next Tax Boot Camp--co-sponsored by the University of San Diego Accountancy Institute and CalCPA's San Diego Chapter--is Jan. 9-12, 2006. The camp is taught each year by University of San Diego professor Tom Dalton and San Diego tax practitioner Frank Beiser, both CalCPA members. For more information, contact Tom Dalton at (619) 260-4102 or visit www.sandiego.edu/taxbootcamp. |
