 is hosting a lecture series in order to better educate the citizens of New York on green lighting options.

The four part lecture series dubbed, "By Bye Incandescent", has been educating people on how to best create a quality visual environment focused on healthy and environmentally friendly Environmentally friendly, also referred to as nature friendly, is a term used to refer to goods and services considered to inflict minimal harm on the environment.[1]  lighting choices. With the recent headlines to ban incandescent bulbs many people are worried and little research has been reported about light sources and their effects on human health.

Part four of the lecture series, "The News Codes, and their effect on Lighting Design" will be held this Wednesday, Oct. 10, with the reception 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. and program 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. The reception and program will take place at the Center for Architecture, 536 for the series call 212-473 3139.
